Norfolk and Hampton, VA Trip

We took a drive across the water this weekend over to Norfolk. We walked along Waterside District and had lunch inside Guy Fieri’s Smokehouse. Tried their Sashimi Tuna Tacos, BBQ Brisket Sliders and Pit Beans. The tacos were definitely different but super yummy.

We then headed over to Circuit Social around the corner from Waterside.

This place y’all. It has awesome retro games like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Pac Man, tons of pinball machines. It was like taking a step back in time. But the best part, was the beer. Almost 50 different beers on tap. But it’s the awesome, easy to use, self-serve taps that got me. The same card that you use to play games is the same card you can use to get beer that’s linked to your credit or debit card you register with. For about $25, Ryan and I played for an hour or so with a few beers each. I think that’s a great price. They also offer food but we just had had lunch. Definitely a much try.

We then headed back home but of course made a stop at Sly Clyde Ciderworks in Phoebus.

This is my absolute favorite place right now. We bring the kids here. We have date night here. We have been to Trivia Nights here. They have live music some weekend nights. We play board games, yard Jenga, cornhole. They have food trucks often and you are able to order food in (Doordash, etc.) Located in the heart of Phoebus in Hampton, Sly Clyde found it’s home in a older brick home on Mellen Street. Tim and Doug Smith’s are their owners and they named the business after their grandfather, H. Clyde Smith. Such great people and a great local business.
